The City of River Rouge Water and Sewer Department is responsible for maintaining and supporting the city’s water and sewer infrastructure. The department provides essential services including water meter reading and billing, water main break repairs, catch basin cleaning and repairs, sewer main jetting and cleaning, sewer repairs, fire hydrant maintenance, and other related services that help ensure reliable water and sewer operations for residents and businesses throughout the community.
The Water and Sewer Department office is located in City Hall, Room 204. Residents may contact the department for assistance with water bills, final meter readings, water turn-ons or turn-offs, or sewer related issues.

Payments may be made at the City Treasurer’s Office,
located on the 1st floor of City Hall.
Drop Box
Payments by check or money order may be placed in the
secure drop box located at the front entrance of City Hall.
Please place payments in a sealed envelope.
Online Payments
Residents may pay their water bill online. Please see the link below to

Residents are encouraged to regularly check for water leaks. Even a small leak that runs continuously can significantly increase your water bill over time.
